I was born an unwanted child into an alcoholic, mentally, and emotionally struggling family. I was never told I was loved or that I did anything well. My mom was very mean and my step-dad was non-engaging. I never saw my biological father a day in my life.

I flunked the fifth grade because they said I could not read. I entered college on final probation, flunked out the third term, and now have four degrees.

I had three bouts of depression in the early 1980’s. The last one was major. When Almighty God healed me, it never happened again. There was no one to help me but God.

I realized a calling in my life on October 10, 1985, to help people in pain. This is the reason Jesus came. I was called to the Ministry of Restoration.

I am very grateful to God that I was not aborted, understand the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and understand healing. People who believed in me are as follows: My wife, Angela is my daily ministry support; Ray Morgan has been an encourager since the 7th grade; John and Carolyn Scharkey, my main support when I was a pastor, and Dr. Drennan is my mentor (who was 91, in January 2024); Tim Azinger, Bridge of Hope’s President/Administrator; and Jerry Jensen, First Vice President, are a constant support.

My calling in the Body of Christ is teacher of teachers. I wrote Hope Institute for this reason. These 9 courses are a combination of Scripture and principles for leadership, counsel, and healing. Marriages and teaching men of God are also important to me.
