Understanding Your Emotions – Adult (Dr Raymond Fabing)

God gave us all our emotions but no one taught us how to process them. This class does that. This adult class covers boundaries, how to create peace, and relieve stress. Key items taught are react vs respond, triggers, consequences, cause/effect, automatic thinking, and evaluation plan for the future. A binder is given to all students which includes tools to identify, define and confront emotions. Anger, fear, shame, sad, contempt, envy, jealousy, and disgust are all covered with their cues and associated words.

Understanding Your Emotions – Children ages 10-18 (Jane Parker)

Join Amy Welker as your trainer in Understanding Your Emotions. After working 20 plus years with teens and kids she has plenty of experience helping them identify their emotion, defining the emotion, and how to confront that emotion. When we do this, we are able to respond better and not be so reactive with our behaviors. Amy makes this subject fun and they walk away with words to express their big emotions, discover what is triggering them and receive new coping skills to overcome the people, places, and things that upset them.

Getting to Know Me – Children ages 5-9 (Jane Parker)

This class will be EXPLAINING and EXPLORING what are emotions, why we feel a certain way, and how to deal with those emotions/feelings each day. If we teach our children NOW how to deal with their feelings in different circumstances, we ARE giving them a major tool for their growth and development down their life’s road.

From Dr. Fabing: Jane Parker has been a teacher with Bridge of Hope conferences, taught classes, and took our Hope Institute. She has years of experience as a youth pastor and mentoring youth. She is a very sincere and energetic servant.
